Defecating!

We've had an email this week from a Hunts Council enforcement officer regards a complaint of cyclists defecating (yes, that's right, a number 2) around Old Weston. There is no evidence that these were cyclists from our club, and our club runs were not in that area at the time.

I'm not going to tell you to never take a natural break at the road side - we all get caught short sometimes, but if you do need some relief, then please, please be discrete about it. I'm sure you are aware that there are plenty of people who'll seize any opportunity to complain about us enjoying our sport, so don't give their small minded prejudice any more ammunition! Also, please bear in mind that we rely on the cooperation of councils and the police to promote events on the road.

The enforcement officer also asked for us to point out that hidden CCTV cameras are used in the countryside to catch fly-tippers.

p.s. next time you're driving along a main road and see a car pulled up and its occupant taking a leak, why not let the council know!

Are the council going to provide such facilities throughout the area just in case ?
