Today's youth coaching session

A great session today in which the children were taught mounting/dis-mounting cyclo x style culminating in short races on grass in groups of three.
fortunately we had a mix of 3 girls/3 boys so the breakdown was pretty straight forward with 3 girls racing each other and 3 boys racing together. It has to be said that the girls preformed brilliant throwing up a real conundrum in that we decided to award rider of the week to all 3 girls and I don't even think the boys minded to much.
The children now it seems know the importance of using the low gears when cycling off concrete building on last weeks session.
A big special hello to holly and connor on there first session and they both picked up the taught techniques quickly.
On this occasion I can quite honestly say all children were shattered through all there hard efforts. Again brilliant and thanks to Steve lyons Gareth smith and tony scopes for your help and the other parents in attendance.

Will agree with Terry a really good session today and a few tired legs out there as well towards the end. Everyone picked up and demonstrated what was being taught which ended in a group race cyclo x style at the end. Brilliant effort.

Have to say Daniel (my eldest) really enjoys it and I'd urge members with children to bring them along. It's excellent to watch them picking up new skills.
