Sunday Base Mileage Rides

hi there BB have you only ridden 61 days this year..wow man that's going some ah ah G

Soon adds up - average of about 16.8mph, which is nice !

Not sure what someone miles has to do with this thread but anyway.....


The road captain discussion is an ongoing issue and I'm not surprised those good souls that have been offering their help to do this have fallen out of love with doing it. Lack of volunteers and over reliance on some - I can admit I fall into this bracket.

In all honestly we probably all want something slightly different from a club run.

For me it's turn up and ride, have a good chat with some nice people, get some miles in and forget about the complexities of life. I'm not particularly bothered where we go, how long or how fast. It's not training.

Its really down to the committee to decide on this when they next reconvene. Everyone has a choice at the end of the day,I was just adding my observations as a relatively new member and how its works at CCC...

I now realise that the club had something in place before, and I understand the politics of it all, not enough volunteers etc. The club does its best to cater for all abilities maybe the club should have a trial run again to see how it goes one week.

I guess the best solution is to ride at the slowest riders pace,and regroup, but we do need to announce pace before we set off so everyone is aware of the effort needed.

Wow I have missed these threads ! Can't wait till next years tt season so I can be less bored ! Lol simple . Faster guys stop dick swinging and show respect to weaker riders rather than trying to bury each other will give you group leaders .?im off now
