grafham water sunday 2nd nov 14 was created by terry694
It looks like its a good possibility that we have at least 3 but hopefully 4 of our kids from the youth coaching sessions participating in this Sundays eastern counties cyclo x event at grafham water. All though I dont want to much pressure being put on them I still hope it will give them the opportunity to savour a cycling race event. All the childrens events are in the morning and more info can be found on the St Ives cc website. If anyone is interested in coming along and supporting them then please feel free. This will be the first chance for them to wear the club shirts.

Its really is complicated

great news & good luck to all of them - I don't think I've seen any kids at any of the other races without smiles on their faces

sounds like we might even be able to field entrants in three different classes and pick up the first SNCC Club points of the season :woohoo:

times & other info on Eastern Cross site www.easterncross.org.uk/race14-15-8.htm

we have now got 3 kids racing tomorrow confirmed (Ashleigh, Jordan & Connor) This is a first for SNCC as far as I'm aware so I'm sure all club members will wish them good luck.

Planning to come along and support with the boy. Do they allow stabilisers in the under 10s race :p

No stabilisers Dave but your support would be welcome. It would be great to some other club members as it is a first for the club to have our youth section involved in their first competitive outing. First rider of at 10:00 followed at 11:00 with the other riders. Hopefully see you there.

Stephen :woohoo:

......and everyone else who came along to watch both the kids & adults.

Shame we didn't get any club points today, but always next time.........

meaning that as someone who got to Grafham a couple of hours earlier than necessary to be able to watch one of the junior races I saw other SNCC members who you may have missed off your list. Also, having been cheered on whilst I raced by other SNCC clubmates I wanted to thank them as it certainly helps to keep you going; ie "...and everyone else who came along to watch both the kids & adults"

In order to score points in the Eastern Cross club competition you need to have at least three riders scoring pints in their races. We didn't manage that yesterday, but hopefully with many more races to come we will, ie "Shame we didn't get any club points today, but always next time" [or the time after that etc]

I hope that helps clear up any confusion

Unfortunately I wasn't aware of any other club members being there yesterday other than those I mentioned and if I was I would have thanked them also but unfortunately with the kids there was still post race welfare admin that needed to be addressed so I was routed to one spot so for anyone I missed off the thank you list then please accept my apologies and thank you for your support.
