Busted.

After working a hellish 50-hour August Bank Holiday, I decided to treat myself to some new wheels with some of the overtime. They've been sitting in my office for a few days while I worked out how to both casually mention my new purchase to my wife and find an acceptable answer to the inevitable question: "What was wrong with the old wheels?"

This morning, over breakfast, she casually asks: "How much were the new wheels?". She doesn't look happy...

I'm not going to weigh in on this one ... I cause another friend enough trouble with his wife when I mention costs for computer components knowing that I'm talking about higher spec gear than he's bought (e.g. he pays £15 for a reasonable mouse, so I mention £80-100 top of the line ones used by "e-sports professionals" but omit the last part).

So I'll be hanging on to your seat post in the hill climb Sunday then?
