Hi. The group 2 routes seem to be well planned and emailed around, but group 1 routes are more ad hoc and only setup on the day.
Assuming Richard and the club are ok with this; can I suggest that we use the forum to plan group 1 rides in advance? We could all post up potential routes ( about 60+ miles ) and use the forum to vote on and decide what route we will ride that week.
We could then almost sign up for the ride, by logging into the forum and replying to the thread, so you will have a good idea of the route and numbers in advance of Sunday.
What do people think?

hi there Jo why not use the monthly club meeting to arrange the following months ride,,Gr 2 appear to be in the hands of mark,,, what you need is a Gr 1 captain, just someone with local knowledge to plan 4 rides about 100kms....G..

Hi Geoff.
I wasn't aware we had monthly club meetings... Have you any info about where these are held?
If we use the forum, rather than meetings, it will be easier to get people to contribute.
What dates are you back in the Uk over Christmas? I won't be able to do a Christmas Day ride, ( will be t'up North ) but will be out riding between Christmas and new year. You up for some of that!?

Hi Joe,
Any suggestions to getting a route organised for group 1 are always welcome. I think its fair to say that the view is that group 1 can cater for itself - which is fair enough. The forum is as good a way of doing this as any other, it gets my vote.

Not quite what I had in mind! I was thinking more democratic rather than autocratic...

Exactly, but instead of us having to organise something on the day, it would be nice to have a little bit of forward planning.
Any suggested routes for Sunday? It will be cold but bright and sunny with little wind.
Whos coming out?

Not sure if I'm ready to come out yet ?

but I will be attending cub run on Sunday . As I have sausage fingers when it comes to computers I don't know how to post routes on forum. Yet. For now perhaps we can stick to a tested route? As it is winter I would prefer the ride to be at high tempo but not 60 mile chain gang ?

Maybe you could ask Geoff (

) for some training on how to post on the forum.... I think he thinks replying to posts is mandatory

( joking Geoff...not looking for a forum fight! )
