What's the worst that can happen ?
22 Nov 2012 13:36 #1
by Chrisbpr
A few members have expressed an interest in this event so here is a link with more info
southwarkcyclists.org.uk/dunwich-dynamo-...s-coach-back-tickets and an artical that I think sums the ride up beautify
www.phased.co.uk/index.php/dunwich-dynamo.html
Any questions you might have please post them here as I have done the event for the past two years and I has become one of my cycling highlights of the year.
This event is run as a " turn up and ride" event with no route guidance , marshalling , organised feed stops or mechanical support but there is never any shortage of offers of help.
If your looking for a super organised sportive event with all the whistles and bells this ain't it !!!

Just turn up and ride.
There is no time constraints .... A bloke did it in 12 hrs on a boris bike in 2011...it's that sort of event.

One of the biggest challenges is getting back.
Some cycle but if your thinking of the bus while good value I would bring your pos winter hack as watching your carbon pride and joy being placed in a furniture truck will give you kittens !!!
There is a station 5 miles away which links in Ipswich or you can try pleading with the other half to pick you up.

It's been on my 'would like to do' list for a couple of years.
Maybe I should try a bit harder and do it next year.
