It's been on my 'would like to do' list for a couple of years.
Maybe I should try a bit harder and do it next year.
'Man Up' (as Geoff would say) and do it in 2013. You know you want to.

What's the worst that can happen ?

The event is first and foremost "not a race" and once you get past the idea of having to cycle through the night it's very enjoyable.
Last year I was riding with a budding mark cavendish and by the time he went through the fifth T junction without realising it was there he slowed down and got into the spirt of it.
There are more and more pop up food places every year and one enterprising bike shop set up a gazebo just the other side of Sudbury for mechanical and moral support so it's not as as though you get bugger all till you arrive at Dunwich...the bacon sarnies and coffee at framlington ( 90 mile point ) come at just the right time.

I've fancied doing it - just logistics are awkward.

Train to Finsbury Park then short cycle to London fields,at the end either buses back to London or cycle to Darlsham station ( about 5 miles) then it looks like 2/3 changes to get you back to st Neots .....or willing partner to pick you up.

One of the guys providing open house for mid night feeding in 2012 had a bottle of whisky stolen which to my mind is pretty despicable and probably means that the facility will not be there next year. In common with other would love to do this but logistics are not good for st neots.

understand peoples concerns about logistics but i managed the past two years with a combination of the coaches laid on and good old public transport.

If getting to the start is the issue, someone could organise a ride from the Market Square on a Summer morning? Fish 'n' chips for dinner at Southwold?
