A large company would take that feedback very seriously.

If I recall correctly, they have feedback forms on the counter. Louise handed one to myself and Tony last Monday, so they do encourage feedback.

divert to the White Horse instead. I'm sure they do coffees, hot chocolates, etc.

Even better...could have a pint then :cheer: ;)

Gareth, why dont you tell them this directly rather than writing it on a cycling forum?

As Andy's comment suggests it might just be me, it might just be the summer trade increase. I might just pick the times when one person is trying to do five different orders at once.

And yes I take on board your comment that these are all local people who they employ no matter the nature/size/scope of the company.

Great idea in principle and the chilli farm is a great place and well worth a visit but its a fair way out of town, Im thinking of the BOBs and Cambourne crew (even us Sandy/Gamlingay peeps) would they really want to add an extra 5+ miles or so to their run home after a long club run?
Might be worth a visit if returning from a SW route on occassion but dont think it would work as a permanent venue.
Maybe also bear it in mind for the Saturday rides

I think come the winter time the income from our club makes a significant amount of their takings on a Sunday....perhaps this might support the idea of supporting us in the future.

Has anyone approached Cafe Nero to ask if the club riders get a discount (with valid membership card?)

The fry up place next door sells cheap coffee, how good it is I don't know.

Nero, whilst being a major company does employ local staff and does contribute to the town.

Would agree with the point about the market square being an ideal location for most people. Bushmead road in my opinion isn't central enough.

Tim P knows one of the directors of Nero, maybe Tim could make an approach to him to see if club members could get a discount!!

What about doing alternate weeks with other establishments.
This will give more publicity and also help the local places as well.

There's the cafe across the road next to entrance to cross keys mall, there's also a new tea shop opened up in church walk should you want to keep it central.

Or meet up at the market square as per normal and having the cafe stop halfway round as we did a couple of weeks back. 5 of us did it again in Oundle yesterday.

Or perhaps a separate ride for those that want a cafe stop led by someone who likes cake (you know who you are) and knows where the good cafes are so those that want too get back early can. Perhaps recent evidence shows this may be evolving?

The new one up church walk is quite good but at the moment they don't have much outside seating.
