By way of some democracy and general post club run chit chat we have made a slight change to the plans.
We are now going without bikes.
All the other plans/times are the same.
Benefit of this will be we can get away quicker if we choose and also we can visit some of London's finest ale houses.
I hope this lands with some good vibes.
See you on Wednesday.
Can someone with access to the group email system send a group email?

just to throw a spanner in the works, having spoken to Jane at the weekend, all of the trains that she can normally take a bike on over the weekend were not allowing any bikes, so i would check with the rail operator to be certain

What's the plan for getting over to the circuit from KX? Taxi or tube? Personally I would rather share the cost of the cab.
If you want to get away quicker surely bikes are the best most flexible option?
Anyway I'll send round a club email

Ruth, the FCC policy for the northern line. hasn't change regards full size bikes on off peak trains, i.e. you can still take them. I'm going into London on Tuesday, so I will check with station staff again then.

Plus a few laps around Richmond Park!
Rang first Capital Connect. Normal ristrictions apply during Olympics. so full size bikes are permitted during off peak times
St Neots :
Off Peak times from 9:08
Peak from 16.30 - 19.01 off peak after
Wimbledon overground:
Peak from 16.00 - 19.00 off peak after
LETS TAKE THE BIKES

Like I said in an earlier post. Station staff are expecting the first non-peak trains to be very busy, but getting quieter later (11ish).
Routes from Kings cross plotted on cyclemaps suggest it is about 15miles from KX to Teddington.

Once you have decided which station you will go to let me know and I will come and meet you there. Its definitely easier for me to cycle straight there.
