Following a number of unfortunate incidents recently some of us have been discussing the merits of ID tags.

As a rider who frequently rides solo I have just taken the plunge and, after some research, I have gone for this one: www.roadid.com/p/the-Wrist-ID-Sport If you use this link then for the next few days you'll get $1 off (63p ?)

I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this issue.

Ian

An excellent idea, I'm up for one.

Thanks Ian. I think the ID tag sounds like a great idea. I say that as someone who's been unfortunate enough to take a tumble this season and need the help of my club mates to call the ambulance and let my family know what's happened (thanks Stas & co.)
For the reasons others have already pointed out, recording your details inside your helmet or on your phone have their limitations. Unless anyone comes up with a better idea, I'm intending to invest in a tag to minimise the inconvenience I might inadvertently cause to others.

Dear all, be warned. My order is waiting at the post office but first I have to pay the ELEVEN POUNDS  customs duty!!!

I think it's a great idea and still worth it but this has pretty much doubled the cost of the item.

Did anyone else experience this?

Mine came through with no issues. Seems to be a bit hit and miss. How can the justify an almost 100% tax?

Late to the game on this one but David Lindsay has had one for about 3 years as soon as I don't only cycle in this ridiculously populated area I'm on in.

Maybe not that one as I would no doubt be unlucky like Dan. Haha. I like how they have all rubbed it in Dan.

Yes indeed Jane, nothing like supportive clubmates!!

Anyway I think it must have been because i ordered a spare band which pushed it over the cost limit. Still bloody annoying though.

Still, if it saves my life one day it'll be cheap at triple the price!!
